School Age After-Care (5-12 years)
The curriculum and teaching practices of our After School Care program align with those of all YSCCC programs in the belief that children learn through play. After school our staff walk the children from the elementary building to our facility. The school age program is designed to allow children to decompress from their full day of school, while still offering the chance to complete any school assignments.
All lesson plans are aligned and support the Ohio State Standards and Step Up to Quality. Children can freely choose their play activities, figure out how things work, engage in social activities with each other, experiment with their own ideas, build on their experiences and solve problems.
